Cathy Guthrie lives in Austin, Texas and Amy Nelson lives about an hour out of Nashville, Tennessee. They are a few states apart, but Nelson has plenty of family in Austin so she travels down every couple of months to catch up and record. Raised on the road by musical royalty, alongside their fathers, Willie Nelson and Arlo Guthrie, (the folk hero son of folk hero Woody) the pair would meet at a San Diego café in the ’90s and soon became serious about making music together in the year 2000.
