This is Will Oldham’s astonishing 15th entry (give or take, including collaborations) from the ‘Prince’ stable since 1999’s seminal I See A Darkness and in many respects Wolfroy Goes To Town mines similar sonic terrain with the bearded burbler tracking a series of meditative folk musings with a world-weary view.
